Behaviour of Short Delay After Granite & Pads Polishing

The SD-1 carriage rides smoothly with no perceived friction over the
entire track.  There are audible hisses as each air cushion passes
over the surface cracks which go between screw holes made by Anorad,
but there seems to be no noticeable change of behavior at these
points, thankfully.  The pads are all new, except for the big pad
which was in good shape.  All remaining pads are being reworked now,
and will be ready for installing on SD-2 in early June.  No
oscillations are seen on SD-1 with the current servo board, but there
is another board which does cause oscillations, perhaps due to a
faulty component (Guy Perrin reports); this needs checking.
