XCSAO Example 2 Report

The output report, which is written to the files specified by the logfiles parameter, may be formatted according to the value of the parameter report_mode to the formats:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18.

Report Mode 1

This mode includes all of the information which is on the graphical summary page. After a heading with the name of the program, the version, the user and machine running xcsao, and the local time and date it is being run, there is a multi-line entry for each spectrum for which a velocity is being sought.

Report Mode 2

One line per spectrum/template combination, includes:
  • first 16 characters of the spectrum filename,
  • first 16 characters of the template filename,
  • R-value, velocity and error in km/sec,
  • height (1=max.) and width (in km/sec) of correlation peak.

  • Observatory code,

    If xcor_file is yes, the standard deviations of the spectrum transform and the template transform and the name of the file containing the correlation vector for this spectrum-template combination are added to the end of the line if such a file is written.
