sskybot
Solar System Object Search Program

WCSTools programs
sskybot finds solar system objects in the SkyBot database within a specified region of the sky and lists their sky positions or lists specific entries in that catalog. It is a symbolic link to scat, and is equivalent to running scat -c skybot ....

Output is to standard out, unless the -w flag is set, in which case it goes to objectname.skybot or search.skybot.

SkyBot currently covers observation epochs from 1949-02-02T12:00:00.000 to 2009-11-14T12:00:00.000. Click here to see the real current status of the SkyBot database.

(This feature was added in WCSTools version 3.7.0)

Eventually positions of specified objects will be returned in the same format using SkyBot Resolver.
